I made an app that uses a database for a VW forums and the complaint was he doesn't have Program Files\Common File\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao360.dll. The setup wizard says the install is being rolled back and to contact the software vendor. R. The system says that it has a problem with the MS-MDAC installation.I have downloaded from Microsoft's download site the appropriate update, but the system will not let me install it saying http://newsmdcommunications.com/microsoft-works/microsoft-works-2000-problem.html
However, now it gives me an error message,"Error creating the object.Please verify that Microsoft Access Data Components 2.5 or later have beenproperly installed."The program just won't open. i managed to install mdac 2.1 successfully through the setup without installing an invasive 400 mb nonsense office access package, since one program pretends i need 2.1 or later.
