Some tried disabling SMB2...I tried that..although it shouldn't matter with XP clients, server should kick down to SMB1 for XP. This compression is significantly greater than what was seen in Excel 2010 and earlier. I removed PDFmaker functionality for Office, and that did not change the issue.
