Nope. from my limited point of view, there seems to be a conflict with the webmessenger that is activated when you log into hotmail and the live messenger. then the microsoft website talks about drivers. I installed WLM 9 and then 2010 and it still doesn't work.
I can even log into hotmail and use messenger through the web based pop ups in the new hotmail system. Go to ADD DElETE Programs in My computer and Delete Messenger. Sign in here. When it restarts, you may get a BSOD.
I think some other application is interfering with it. Yesterday, I had used Windows Live Messenger, and it worked fine. ive already disabled those add-ons in IE (even though that didnt work), but i use chrome...and have no idea how to disable addons there (even though it likely wont work). Go to Start then Control Panel and open Administrative tools. Origional install.Haven't installed any software in over a year other than a standard windows xp secuirty patch 3 weeks ago.Any one have any clues?
