How come I could access it through Windows Explorer but not through the main menu? Right-click Start, and then click Properties. Is it possible it could be a bad sector on a HDD? and guess?

I REALLY appreciate them. Tbh, it does look more like a drive issue. perhaps you can try to either access the folder through windows explorer and just copy the data to another folder (i always use the desktop) or if you are using winxp So I would say it's a clear connection with the icon view and the problem.
When I instead choose to access the very same folder, but this time through "My computer" > "Documents (Niklas)" <- that'll be my name, it doesn't freeze. EDIT: Beaten to it! ;) spartacus10120-11-2006, 15:44I've not checked for errors at all... It was something to do with the AVI having a problem and explorer trying to load/preview it.
