when i try to install WIndows XP on it or any other HD, it hands after loading all the DLL's and such, when the screen says Windows Setup is Loading... Normally the command will produce no output, and the window will be empty. When I am not doing anything cpu usage is at like 3 or 4%. Go see a movie (at a theater, you won't be able to ATV it while its synching!)Good luck.
Even though spotlight is not using a lot of CPU, it is doing tons of disk access, which bogs everything else down. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. pleeeaaase? Your cpu, graphics card, and hard drive are all power hungry devices.
