Maybe this is the problem. I can do a system recovery or reformat if necessary, just looking for a way to avoid that if possible. All rights reserved. The keyboard allows me to type fluently and fast, but after a few words the cursor moves sporadically to a random place somewhere else on the page.

But that is a longshot and the likely answer is that the mouse circuit board is bad. Please try the request again. Visit the keyboard manufacturer's website, and see if there is not a driver for XP available for download. I would try a Windows preboot environment CD like Hiren's and see if the mouse works with different software.
Is there some way I might have locked the keyboard by mistake or is it an internal problem? Good luck. Since then, I've had issues where every 20-30 minutes, the left click will start clicking on its own (the key is not stuck, it is not a physical hardware issue).Obviously, I So i am pressing shift key to use them.
