The V/H SYNC Blank option blanks the screen and turns off vertical and horizontal scanning. Tried resolution, settings, still no luck have to scroll up even with restore down. ideally, i'd like the monitor to switch off properly/not be on standby without relying on our users to switch the screen off (lets face it, we all forget sometimes! ) #3 It's primarily a TV, not a monitor, but it can be used to it with some limitations, such as this one. try this

- This is done by keeping the graphics card itself operational, but the operating system directs the card (and by doing so - itself) not to output through the VGA/DVI/HDMI port.

I researched and found the product manual but no where does it document standby support on HDMI. Strangly the computer still recognized the 2nd monitor as 'Secondary monitor VGA' (as it did with the VGA cable) even though it was hooked up through DVI. If you have a 'whacky' setup like the mess I've got, you might be inclined to drag... Monitor Wont Turn Off After Shutdown It does fine.Apparently the TV is made such that it gives that 'no signal' message when the HDMI is giving no signal. Using one of these apps, will start turning the monitor off, but it will turn itself back on automatically almost immediately.
